This blog is about me pretending to be a theologian. I have no seminary education and do not work in ministry, which is kind of reason behind the name. Theology and the Christian life is something that interest me, though, so here we are.

FTC Disclosure Statement
The Federal Trade Commission got its head out of its ass a few years ago and decided there is an inherent conflict of interest when people are paid or given free things for reviews and/or they participate in affiliate programs.

Fortunately for consumers, they require bloggers, among others, to disclose when they have received money/books for reviews or receive money for send traffic to a particular site. This is my statement.

I am an Amazon Affiliate. This means that if you click a link and buy the book, I get a small percentage. I will never link anything that I have not read or plan to read or has been highly recommended to me. I encourage you to buy directly from my links because I get paid. In addition to links, I also have a book store that you can but books I’ve recommended.

Why do this? “I got bills to pay, I got mouths to feed, ain’t nothing in this world for free.”

I am a review blogger with Reformation Trust Publishing, Baker Books, and Crossway. This means they send me a free book to review. I also receive advanced review copies through Netgalley (see cool flair below).  I am not even bound to finish reading it, let alone give it a positive review. I will review it as I see fit and always note at the top of the page that I received it for free and from whom.

Lies, you say, MMT rarely post negative reviews. Good point. I am not involved in any review programs that randomly send me books. Instead, I request individual book or choose from a list that is sent to me. Therefore, it is usually only something I want to read and have an interest in.

Why do this? I like book and free stuff.

Unsolicited Reviews. I’ve been meaning to write something about the recently as I have received a few. At this point, I am not doing unsolicited reviews for free.
